Engineering Technician
Location: Dallas, Texas
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — onsite at least four days per week
About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support reserves, budgeting, economic evaluations, and related engineering data analysis.
Under varying levels of supervision, this position maintains accurate reserves, budget, and economics databases and assists with the research, organization, and compilation of data used for analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and modify ARIES databases for specific tasks and conditions
- Run technical reserves evaluations
- Assist with the preparation of reserves reconciliations and reports
- Retrieve and organize data from internal and external sources for analysis
- Assist with updating ARIES input parameters
- Perform other related duties and special projects as required
Required Qualifications
Education & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Highly proficient in modifying data in ARIES
- Proficient with running Access queries using SQL and Access versions of ARIES databases
- Familiarity with:
- Data structures
- Reporting processes
- Data sources
- ODBC connections
- Archiving procedures
Technical Skills
Proficiency or expertise with:
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- ARIES 5000.2.3
- Merrick
- Spotfire
- Public production data sources, including IHS and Enverus
- Ability to write and modify SQL program coding is a plus
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in oil and gas operations/reserves
- Experience using ARIES databases

Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid position based in Dallas, Texas, with employees required to work onsite at least four days per week.
