This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for purchasing, supplier management, inventory, production planning, shipping, receiving, and overall supply chain performance.
The organization has recently entered a new phase of growth under new ownership, creating an opportunity for an experienced supply chain leader to make a measurable impact. The ERP system is already in place. The priority now is execution: improving how the business uses its systems and data, standardizing Bills of Material, strengthening production scheduling, reducing supplier costs, and building more disciplined supply chain processes.
This position is 100% on-site in Woodstock, GA 30188.
Director of Supply Chain Benefits and Compensation:
- $100,000–$140,000 base salary based on experience
- 15 days of paid time off annually & 10 paid holidays
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k)
- Company-paid basic life insurance
- Company-paid short-term disability
- High-impact leadership position with direct influence on manufacturing performance
- Opportunity to help shape supply chain operations during an important period of company growth
Director of Supply Chain Requirements & Qualifications:
- Progressive supply chain leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience across purchasing, strategic sourcing, inventory management, production planning, and supplier management
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers, control material costs, and identify meaningful cost-saving opportunities
- Strong ERP/MRP experience with the ability to use system data to drive purchasing, inventory, and production decisions
- Experience managing Bills of Material, item master data, inventory accuracy, forecasting, and material availability
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and Operations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Must Haves:
- Lead purchasing, inventory, production planning, shipping, and receiving as an integrated supply chain function
- Standardize and improve Bills of Material and item master accuracy
- Improve production scheduling and material planning to better support manufacturing requirements
- Negotiate supplier agreements and identify opportunities to lower material and purchasing costs
- Improve supplier performance through strategic sourcing, supplier development, and accountability
- Establish and track meaningful supply chain KPIs around inventory, supplier performance, scheduling, cost, and delivery
- Drive greater discipline and utilization of the existing ERP/MRP system rather than relying on disconnected manual processes
Director of Supply Chain Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience with Syspro, Sage 100, or comparable manufacturing ERP/MRP systems
- Background with industrial equipment, machinery, engineered products, automation equipment, or another complex manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting low-volume, high-mix or configure-to-order manufacturing
- Demonstrated success improving inventory turns, inventory accuracy, supplier on-time delivery, lead times, or material costs
- Experience developing or improving S&OP, forecasting, or demand-planning processes
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required with equivalent experience
What Success Looks Like:
The successful Director of Supply Chain will bring structure and accountability to the entire supply chain function. Early priorities will include improving BOM accuracy, strengthening production scheduling, identifying supplier cost reductions, improving inventory visibility, and creating stronger alignment between purchasing, inventory, production, and customer demand.
This is not a role for someone who only manages supply chain strategy from a distance. The organization needs a leader who can understand the details, identify where processes are breaking down, work directly with the teams involved, and put sustainable systems in place.
This position does not include relocation assistance.
Candidates must live within a 45-minute commuting distance of Woodstock, GA 30188.
This is a direct-hire position. Third-party staffing, subcontracting, and Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements will not be considered.
