With more than 20 years in the industry and over 4,000 employees, they combine synthetic biology, precision fermentation, and proprietary microencapsulation to produce more than 40 ingredient lines at large scale. Their portfolio spans dietary fiber, prebiotics, microencapsulated functional lipids, and sugar reduction solutions. It is backed by a 200+ person R&D team, 100+ invention patents, and multiple provincial-level research platforms.
Today they serve more than 3,000 customers in over 100 countries, including dozens of Fortune 500 food, beverage, and nutrition companies. Their facilities hold BRCGS, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001/22000, HACCP, Kosher, Halal, and Non-GMO Project Verified certifications. They are now investing in a dedicated North American commercial presence, and this role will lead it.
The Opportunity
This is a build-and-grow role with real ownership. You'll be the company's senior commercial leader in North America. You'll open and expand relationships with major and high-growth food, beverage, and dietary supplement brands, backed by global-scale production capacity and a deep technical team.
Sales Director job responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle for large and high-growth F&B and supplement brands, from prospecting through negotiation, contracting, and account expansion
- Lead technical conversations with customer R&D and product development teams on fiber fortification, gut health, sugar reduction, clean label, and keto or energy formulations, and deliver tailored ingredient solutions and process recommendations
- Develop key accounts and build channel and distributor partnerships across the US and Canada
- Work closely with global technical, production, and commercial teams on customer needs, samples, pricing, regulatory documentation, and supply
- Gather market and customer insights on trends and demand to guide new product launches and the North American go-to-market strategy
- Build and manage the regional pipeline, forecasts, and growth plan
Sales Director job requirements:
- 10+ years of B2B sales or application R&D experience serving US food, beverage, or dietary supplement companies. Ingredient supplier experience is strongly preferred.
- A proven track record in key account management and channel or distributor development
- Solid working knowledge of FDA regulations, GRAS, and ingredient labeling (including dietary fiber and added sugar requirements), plus familiarity with customer supplier-qualification and supply chain processes
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the credibility to engage both procurement and R&D stakeholders
- Self-directed and comfortable building a territory independently within a global organization
- Business-level fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written), required for day-to-day collaboration with global technical and production teams
Nice to Have
- Background in food science, chemistry, nutrition, or a related field
- Experience selling soluble fibers, prebiotics (IMO, FOS, GOS), polyols or rare sugars, or specialty lipid powders
- An existing network across major US CPG, beverage, sports nutrition, and supplement brands
Sales Director Salary and Benefits:
- Base salary of $120,000–$180,000 plus uncapped commission, directly rewarding your contribution to revenue growth
