We're seeking a technically driven Sales Engineer who understands industrial machinery, enjoys developing customer relationships, and can turn complex manufacturing challenges into practical equipment solutions.
This position combines technical sales, business development, and custom automation. You'll work directly with customers to understand their manufacturing needs, develop equipment proposals, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver specialized solutions.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, understands electric motor manufacturing, and enjoys the challenge of selling highly customized industrial equipment.

Sales Engineer Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or business development involving industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or automation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand complex manufacturing processes.
- Experience communicating with engineers, manufacturing teams, and purchasing decision-makers.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and develop technically appropriate equipment solutions.
Must Haves:
- Understanding of electric motor manufacturing, including stator cores and their function.
- Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities with industrial manufacturing customers.
- Ability to translate technical customer requirements into equipment proposals and quotations.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams to evaluate equipment capabilities, project feasibility, and customer specifications.
- Ability to manage customer relationships throughout the technical sales process.
- Willingness to travel to customer facilities as required.
Sales Engineer Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience selling custom automation, specialized manufacturing machinery, or capital equipment.
- Familiarity with electric motor production, stator manufacturing, winding equipment, or related manufacturing technologies.
- Established relationships within industrial manufacturing or electric motor production.
- Experience managing complex technical sales cycles from initial customer contact through equipment delivery.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Additional Employment Information:
This position does not include relocation assistance. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Fort Wayne, IN.
This is a direct-hire position. Third-party staffing, subcontracting, and Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements will not be considered.
