Plant General Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise daily plant activities
- Manage plant P&L, budgets, cost controls, and operational performance
- Lead production, design/engineering, procurement, inventory, logistics, maintenance, and quality
- Drive production efficiencies, material yield, labor efficiency, and waste reduction
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, industry standards, OSHA, and quality requirements
- Maintain strong quality control processes and certification requirements
- Train, manage, and provide feedback to employees
- Prepare daily efficiency, production, and operational reports
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues; coordinate with maintenance
- Manage raw material procurement and inventory
- Ensure production schedules, staffing, and delivery requirements are met
- Evaluate capital expenditures and equipment investments for ROI
- Lead the expansion of manufacturing capabilities into additional building component products
Plant General Manager Qualifications Include:
- 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience in building components or related manufacturing preferred
- 5+ years of experience supervising manufacturing teams
- Proven P&L, budgeting, cost control, and operational management experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems
- Experience in building products or component manufacturing
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and production systems
- Experience with industry quality and certification programs
- Experience with material procurement and yield optimization
- CAPEX and ROI experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations, Construction Management, or related field
