FOH MANAGER – HOUSTON, TX
A premier, high-volume fine-dining restaurant in Houston is seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to lead daily service operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This is an outstanding opportunity for a polished hospitality professional with a strong background in upscale or fine-dining restaurants.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The FOH Manager will be responsible for leading the front-of-house team, maintaining exceptional service standards, developing staff, and ensuring smooth execution throughout every service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-energy environment and understands the expectations of luxury dining.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily FOH operations and ensure consistent execution of service standards.
- Manage and develop servers, bartenders, hosts, captains, and other FOH team members.
- Coach employees on hospitality, service standards, menu knowledge, wine and beverage, and guest engagement.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor and actively support the team during service.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and personally address concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, training, performance management, and team development.
- Ensure proper communication between FOH and culinary teams.
- Oversee table flow, reservations, VIP guests, large parties, and private dining events.
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, appearance, organization, and restaurant presentation.
- Support inventory, cash handling, labor management, and other operational responsibilities.
- Help drive sales, guest retention, and overall restaurant profitability.
- Lead by example and create a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of FOH management experience in upscale, fine-dining, steakhouse, or high-volume full-service restaurants.
- Strong understanding of elevated guest service and hospitality standards.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a large FOH team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and fine-dining service.
- Experience with high-volume dinner service and private events preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional appearance and polished communication style.
- Must be comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
