Ready to focus on selling instead of spending your day chasing trucks?
We’re looking for an experienced Remote Freight Broker who knows how to prospect, win new business, and grow profitable customer relationships. You’ll own the sales side of the business while a dedicated operations team handles truck sourcing, tracking, billing, and back-office functions.
This is an ideal opportunity for a proven freight sales professional who enjoys hunting for new business and wants the freedom to focus on what they do best: selling and growing their book.
Remote Freight Broker Benefits and Compensation:
- Monthly gross margin commission: 10% at $10K–$20K | 20% at $20K–$30K | 30% at $30K+
- 401(k) with 5% company match
- Paid time off and holidays
- Fully remote position
- Dedicated operations support for carrier sourcing, tracking, billing, and back-office functions
Remote Freight Broker Requirements & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales experience within third-party logistics (3PL) or freight brokerage
- Proven success prospecting and personally winning new shipper accounts
- Experience generating leads and building a sales pipeline without relying solely on inherited business
- Strong understanding of freight pricing, market capacity, margins, and rate negotiation
- Experience quoting freight, closing business, and developing long-term customer relationships
Must Haves:
- Existing FTL book of business or established transferable shipper relationships
- Hands-on experience with domestic FTL freight
- Experience with dry van and reefer freight
- Demonstrated success in new-business development and outbound prospecting
- Ability to speak to measurable sales production, such as gross margin, revenue, load volume, or similar KPIs
- Must reside and work in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Utah, Kentucky, Florida, or Texas
Remote Freight Broker Preferred Background & Skills:
- Experience with flatbed/platform, specialized, oversized, or expedited freight
- Strong cold-calling, prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
- Experience using CRM, TMS, and freight brokerage technology
- Proven ability to grow existing accounts while continuing to develop new business
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing a sales pipeline in a remote environment
- Strong communication and customer relationship management skills
If you’re an experienced freight broker who wants to spend more time selling, less time covering loads, and directly benefit from the business you build, this could be a great next move.
