Tri Axle Dump Truck Driver Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid CDL required
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
- 2+ years CDL driving experience
- Tri axle dump truck experience required
- Experience hauling construction materials (stone, dirt, asphalt, aggregate, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of load limits and DOT regulations.
- Ability to operate tailgate, tarp system, and dump controls safely.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Tri Axle Dump Truck Driver Preferred Background & Skills
- Background in construction or aggregate/materials hauling.
- Familiarity with local routes and job site deliveries.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and trailers.
Tri Axle Dump Truck Driver Day to Day Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tri axle dump truck in all weather conditions.
- Load, tarp, transport, and dump construction materials at job sites.
- Ensure loads are within legal weight limits and properly secured, complying with all DOT regulations.
- Transport materials to and from job sites within a 20 to 30 mile radius.
- Complete pre trip and post trip inspections of truck and body.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, material tickets, and communicate with dispatch regarding schedules.
- Promptly report any mechanical or safety issues.
