Chief of Staff Requirements & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating activities for a Board of Directors or governing body
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- Proven track record leading executive-level projects or strategic organizational initiatives
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Skilled in building relationships and influencing at all organizational levels
- High level of professionalism and discretion with sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general business technology
Chief of Staff Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or other mission-driven organizations
- Project management certification (PMP or similar)
- Familiarity with process improvements, automation, or AI-enabled business solutions
Chief of Staff Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison and coordinator for the Board of Directors and committee operations
- Advise and partner with the President & CEO to translate vision into actionable plans and drive organizational strategy
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and manage executive project execution from planning to measurement
- Prepare board agendas, meeting materials, executive briefings, and decision-support resources
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to advance organizational priorities
- Foster relationships with leadership, board members, and external partners, serving as a trusted representative for the President & CEO
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and organizational workflows
