Account Manager – Commercial Landscaping

Are you an experienced landscaping professional who enjoys working with customers, growing business, and seeing the results of your work in the field?
We’re looking for an Account Manager to serve as a trusted partner to our customers while helping grow and retain a successful portfolio of commercial landscaping accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven professional who combines customer service, sales, landscaping expertise, and business acumen.
What You’ll Do
As an Account Manager, you’ll be the primary point of contact for your customers, responsible for developing long-term relationships and ensuring they receive exceptional landscaping services.
Customer Relationships
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Conduct customer site walk-throughs and formal meetings.
- Quickly and professionally address customer concerns and resolve issues.
- Deliver a level of service that supports a 90%+ account renewal goal.
Sales & Business Development
- Grow existing customer accounts and pursue new business opportunities.
- Proactively identify additional service and enhancement opportunities.
- Prepare accurate estimates and take-offs.
- Develop and maintain profitable contracts and enhancement work.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue while maintaining acceptable gross margins.
Operations & Team Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Production Team to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Maintain open and collaborative communication with production and branch leadership.
- Help ensure services are delivered efficiently, professionally, and to the customer’s expectations.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare sales reports, estimates, contracts, and enhancement proposals.
- Assist with accounts receivable responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate and organized customer and account information.
- Effectively prioritize multiple customers, projects, schedules, and deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a customer-focused, organized, resourceful, and professional landscaping industry leader who enjoys both relationship management and business development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a horticultural-related field.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize, schedule, and multitask.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Computer proficient.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting and general business principles.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred, but not required.
