Assistant Warehouse Manager
A respected food manufacturing and distribution group is seeking an assistant warehouse manager to join its growing distribution center team. Assistant Warehouse Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Direct experience in food or beverage warehousing, with a solid understanding of inventory operations
- Demonstrated ability to work hands-on in a warehouse-floor environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends or adjust hours as needed
- Experience operating forklifts and handling large pallet volumes
- Familiarity with ERP/WMS software (such as NetSuite or similar systems)
Assistant Warehouse Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience supporting a distribution center or high-volume food warehousing operation
- Background contributing to improved data and inventory accuracy
- Familiarity with cross-functional teamwork or remote collaboration
- Exposure to facility audits and inventory reconciliations
Assistant Warehouse Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work directly alongside warehouse staff to unload trucks, operate forklifts, and assist with daily warehouse activities
- Support inventory movement, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment for a diverse SKU set
- Help ensure inventory and data accuracy, partnering with quality, accounting, and supply chain teams during regular audits
- Assist with prioritizing tasks and addressing daily operational challenges, such as urgent orders or truck arrivals
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment among staff
