General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous restaurant management experience, preferably in a general manager or assistant general manager role
- Quick-service restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of restaurant financials, labor, food cost, and sales performance
- Proven track record leading, coaching, and developing teams
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
- Familiarity with operational, food safety, and cleanliness standards
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring all standards are met
- Recruit, onboard, train, and coach employees and management team members
- Monitor labor, food costs, inventory, and other controllable expenses for optimal profitability
- Deliver outstanding guest service and promptly resolve customer concerns
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and restaurant appearance
- Regularly review performance metrics and implement improvement plans
- Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable regulations
