Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day restaurant activities while ensuring efficient and profitable performance
- Champion service standards and product quality while maintaining extensive menu knowledge
- Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, including marketing, HR, and sales
- Hire, coach, develop, and motivate a strong management and service team
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, reconciliations, labor, and administrative functions
- Implement company standards while reinforcing the restaurant’s culture, values, and connection to the local community
- Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, team performance, and overall profitability
Restaurant General Manager Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in upscale or elevated dining
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver consistently high service standards
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Comfortable working with restaurant technology, financial reporting, and operational systems
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accountability
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
