Licensed Insurance Agent Requirements & Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Life & Health Insurance License
- Reliable transportation for travel to client appointments across New Jersey
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable with Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client relationships
Licensed Insurance Agent Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in life, health, employee, voluntary, or supplemental insurance
- Familiarity with benefits enrollment processes
- Knowledge of Medicare or financial services
Licensed Insurance Agent Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Meet with existing clients—virtually and in person—throughout New Jersey
- Conduct annual insurance and benefits reviews for assigned clients
- Educate individuals and families on a variety of insurance coverages, including life, disability, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and supplemental plans
- Recommend tailored coverage solutions based on each client’s needs
- Guide clients through enrollment and application processes
- Maintain accurate records and follow through on all client service commitments
