Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will lead the commercial expansion of sales in the U.S. Poultry market. This role is responsible for establishing and developing market share, developing new customers, managing key accounts, and building a network of integrators, feed mills, nutritionists, distributors and manufacturer’s representatives across targeted poultry segments. The position requires a consultative, nutrition-oriented sales approach and the ability to translate technical product value into commercial adoption. The role works closely with the CEO and internal support functions, and represents our brand throughout the Poultry market.

Business Development Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in animal feed or related sectors
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year) required in Poultry Animal Science
- Proven track record managing multi-stakeholder customer relationships and driving market development
- High proficiency in sales planning, pipeline management, and account growth
- Willingness to work remotely and travel 40–60% of the time, including minimal international travel
Business Development Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in poultry nutrition, feed additives, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with on-farm trials, demonstration plots, and agronomic performance validation
- Knowledge of US and/or Canadian crop markets and seasonal selling cycles
- Understanding of distributor margin structures, rebates, trade terms, and US regulatory landscape for poultry feed
Business Development Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan to drive revenue growth in the US poultry feed market
- Identify, qualify, and close new B2B customers, including distributors, retailers, co-ops, and large poultry businesses
- Build and expand strong customer relationships to drive repeat and multi-product adoption
- Maintain an active pipeline with disciplined sales forecasting and reporting
- Grow distribution coverage through strategic partnerships with ag distributors and retail networks
- Coordinate field demonstrations and customer trials to validate product performance and accelerate adoption
- Support customers with product training, application guidance, and follow-up performance reviews
