Social Media Manager – Hunting, Wildlife & Travel
Remote (U.S.-Based) | Travel Required | $50,000–$60,000 Base + Growth Opportunity

We're looking for a creative, strategic, and highly driven Social Media Manager to help grow our brands across hunting, wildlife, travel, outdoor experiences, and lifestyle content.
This is not a traditional social media scheduling role.
We're looking for someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, watch, engage, share, and take action. You’ll help develop social media strategies, create and curate compelling content, manage multiple platforms, build engaged communities, and turn real-world experiences into content that drives brand awareness and growth.

About the Opportunity
This role will help manage the social media presence of a growing portfolio of brands focused on hunting, wildlife, travel, outdoor experiences, and lifestyle content.
You'll work closely with leadership, content creators, hosts, and other team members to develop and execute social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other emerging channels.
You'll have significant creative freedom and the opportunity to help shape the voice, personality, and digital presence of the brands.

What You'll Do
Develop & Execute Social Media Strategy
- Develop and execute social media strategies across multiple platforms
- Create content calendars and manage daily publishing schedules
- Identify trends, emerging platforms, and opportunities to increase reach and engagement
- Adapt content to maximize performance on each individual platform
- Continuously test new content formats, messaging, hooks, and creative approaches
Create & Curate Compelling Content
- Create engaging posts, Reels, Stories, short-form videos, graphics, captions, and other social content
- Repurpose existing video, photography, podcasts, and long-form content into social-first assets
- Identify the strongest moments from larger content libraries and turn them into high-performing social posts
- Write compelling captions, headlines, hooks, and calls-to-action
- Collaborate with video and creative teams to develop content specifically for social media
Grow & Engage Audiences
- Build and manage highly engaged online communities
- Respond to comments, messages, and audience interactions
- Develop strategies to increase followers, engagement, shares, and organic reach
- Monitor audience sentiment and identify opportunities for deeper engagement
- Help turn followers into customers, advocates, and loyal members of the brand community
Analyze Performance
- Track social media performance and audience growth
- Monitor KPIs including reach, engagement, views, follower growth, traffic, and conversions
- Analyze what content performs best and use those insights to improve future content
- Provide regular performance reports and recommendations to leadership
- Use data to continually refine the social media strategy
Leverage AI & Emerging Technology
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate content creation, research, ideation, editing, scheduling, and analytics
- Experiment with emerging social media tools and technologies
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and AI
- Stay current with changes to social algorithms, features, trends, and best practices
Support Travel & On-Location Content
- Travel periodically to hunting destinations, outdoor events, and other experiences
- Capture social-first content in the field using mobile devices and cameras
- Identify spontaneous moments and behind-the-scenes opportunities
- Work with hosts, founders, guests, and influencers to create authentic content
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional social media management or content marketing experience
- Demonstrated success growing social media audiences and engagement
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other major social platforms
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and content strategy
- Experience creating short-form video and social-first content
- Strong visual storytelling instincts
- Experience with social media scheduling, analytics, and management tools
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve content creation and productivity
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Willingness to travel periodically throughout the United States
