Banquet Sales Manager – Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, business, marketing, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in event, banquet, catering, hospitality, hotel, or related sales strongly preferred
- Demonstrated skills in sales, business development, client relationship management, or event coordination
- Proficiency with BEO and POS systems, as well as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Banquet Sales Manager – Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in a country club, resort, golf club, restaurant, or related setting is a plus
- Ability to develop creative proposals and communicate value to clients
- Strong customer service orientation with active listening skills
Banquet Sales Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Proactively generate leads and cultivate new business for a variety of event types, including weddings, corporate functions, social gatherings, and golf tournaments
- Conduct property tours and present event services and amenities to prospective clients
- Develop proposals, provide pricing, negotiate contracts, and close bookings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams from inquiry through event execution
- Collaborate with operations and banquet managers to ensure smooth handoff and delivery of events
- Track and report on sales activity, bookings, revenue goals, and market trends
