Assistant Project Manager – T&D / Substation
Location: Akron, OH | On-Site
A growing infrastructure consulting and project management organization is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support major Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Substation projects for utility clients.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career project professional looking to grow into a long-term Project Management role within the utility infrastructure industry.Responsibilities
- Support T&D and Substation projects from planning through closeout
- Assist with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and project controls
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, utilities, and field teams
- Support construction, procurement, permitting, and field activities
- Track project milestones, costs, risks, and documentation
- Assist with project reporting and client communication
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management – REQUIRED
- 1–4 years of utility infrastructure, T&D, or Substation experience
- T&D and/or Substation project experience – REQUIRED
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, project controls, or construction coordination
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- MS Project, Primavera P6, or Excel experience preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- $90K–$120K base salary, DOE
