A luxury catering company is seeking an experienced Catering Sous Chef to support our Executive Chef in producing high-quality meals for our catering and meal production programs. This role combines culinary skill, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen environment focused on preparing, packaging, and delivering exceptional food experiences.

Catering Sous Chef Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $60,000–$70,000 based on experience
- Current chefs typically earn $500–$1,000/month in tips
- Work schedule conducive to true work-life balance, and Unlimited PTO (used responsibly)

Catering Sous Chef Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of fine dining, catering, or private chef experience (5+ years preferred for restaurant-only backgrounds)
- Experience with food preparation, catering operations, and meal production
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain consistency and quality in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Team player willing to assist with prep, cleanup, dishwashing, and general kitchen responsibilities
- Flexible schedule with weekend availability required
- Work history with strong tenure in jobs
Catering Sous Chef Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef with daily catering and meal production operations.
- Prepare, cook, portion, and package high-quality meals for packaged meal catering programs.
- Assist with weekly prep planning, reviewing BEOs, and organizing production schedules.
- Prepare ingredients, execute recipes, and ensure meals are completed accurately and consistently.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, product rotation, and kitchen organization.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, portion control, and sanitation.
- Load and unload company vehicles for meal deliveries.
- Wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen workspace.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth daily operations and timely completion of orders
