Job Title: Director, Non-Standard Personal Insurance (Remote-Texas)
Job Purpose: Our client currently operates a multi-million dollar non-standard business across the United States. The business is established and performing, and we believe it has meaningful room to grow. We are looking for the person to lead this growth.
Duties and Responsibilities: This is an opportunity to own an existing multi-million dollar non-standard personal Lines book of business and grow the business across multiple states. The core of this book is in Texas, so that experience will be most relevant. This candidate will own the strategy and performance of this line of business nationally. You will design the strategy and then execute it.
- What does that look like?
- Product – What do we sell, what should we sell?
- Rate – Own the revenue model for this LOB.
- Marketing – Demand Generation, Branding, and Messaging
- Distribution Model – Retail/Walkin/Call Center/Inside Sales
- Leadership – Build and lead the team to execute this
Required Qualifications:
Domain Depth
- 8-15 years in non-standard personal lines, with direct ownership of growth and performance
- Deep understanding of the non-standard customer.
- Working knowledge of SR-22 filing mechanics, state requirements, and minimum limits product design
- Understanding of agency revenue models (Texas strongly preferred)
- Established Carrier, program, and MGA relationships (Non-standard).
Strategic Capability
- Build go-to-market strategy across product pricing, promotion, and distribution.
- Track record of organic growth at scale.
- Strong analytical fluency.
- Multi-state operating and compliance experience
- Experience across multiple distribution models – retail, call center, digital and independent agent.
Leadership
- Proven ability to build, coach, and retain teams in a high-volume environment
- Comfort operating as both strategist and operator — building the plan and then driving its execution

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish, or demonstrated success building bilingual go-to-market capability
- Experience launching adjacent or ancillary products into an existing customer base
- Texas non-standard market experience across multiple metros
- Industry designations such as CPCU, CIC, or CPIA
Salary and Benefits: This role offers a base salary of $100,000 with Y1 OTE of $200–250K. This role includes equity participation in the business.
