Fast Casual Director of Operations Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive restaurant operations leadership, including at least 7 years as a Director of Operations within a high-volume, fast-casual restaurant company
- Proven experience overseeing a minimum of 6 restaurant locations generating approximately $100 million in annual sales
- Demonstrated success leading new restaurant openings and helping a growing organization scale through operational systems, processes, and leadership development
- Expert financial acumen with extensive experience managing P&Ls, labor, food cost, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-unit profitability
- Track record of developing General Managers into high-performing leaders while building organizational bench strength for future growth
- Exceptional leadership presence, communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to field leadership
- Must currently reside in the New York City metropolitan area and be available to regularly work in the restaurants alongside the team
Fast Casual Director of Operations Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO, COO, and CFO to execute the company's operational vision, growth strategy, and long-term expansion plans
- Lead, coach, and develop General Managers, Kitchen Managers, Assistant Kitchen Managers, and future Area Leaders while building a culture of accountability, ownership, and operational excellence
- Create scalable systems, processes, reporting, and operational standards that drive consistency, speed of service, profitability, food quality, and an exceptional guest experience
- Analyze financial and operational performance through KPIs, P&Ls, audits, and reporting to identify opportunities and implement sustainable improvements across all restaurants
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with culinary, finance, human resources, training, and facilities to strengthen operational performance and support company growth
- Standardize onboarding, training, leadership development, and operational playbooks to ensure consistency as new restaurants open
- Serve as a highly visible, hands-on field leader who coaches teams, solves problems proactively, and ensures every restaurant consistently exceeds high standards
