Project Manager-Commercial Construction
Commercial General Contractor | Confidential Employer
Location: South Florida
Salary: $115,000–$140,000 Base + Bonus + Benefits
About the Opportunity
A respected commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who can manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Negotiate and administer subcontract agreements
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Monitor project costs, productivity, and profitability
- Partner with Superintendents to ensure successful field execution
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear client communication
- Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions
- Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of Project Management experience with a Commercial General Contractor
- Experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control
- Experience with commercial renovations, institutional, healthcare, higher education, or ground-up construction preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
