Facilities Director Requirements & Qualifications:
• 8+ years of progressive facilities, repair and maintenance, or related experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing facilities teams, technicians, vendors, or contractors
• Restaurant industry experience required
• Multi-unit and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) experience strongly preferred
• Expert knowledge of restaurant equipment, repair costs, replacement costs, and repair versus replace decision-making
• Strong understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, building systems, signage, and life safety systems
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs and large-scale repair and maintenance operations
• Proven experience negotiating vendor agreements and managing contractor performance
• Experience developing and managing facilities budgets, repair and maintenance spending, purchase orders, warranties, invoices, and asset tracking
• Review repair bids, scopes of work, equipment specifications, and repair estimates to make sound repair versus replacement decisions
• Develop and improve facilities standards, SOPs, workflows, and scalable operational processes
• Partner closely with Operations, Finance, IT, and Executive Leadership on company-wide initiatives
• Support acquisition due diligence, facility assessments, and restaurant transition projects
• Strong analytical, financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with ServiceChannel, Monday.com, Restaurant365, or similar facilities management platforms
Facilities Director Preferred Background & Skills:
• Experience leading facilities operations across multiple states or regions
• Strong network of restaurant facilities vendors and contractors
• Experience implementing scalable maintenance programs for growing organizations
• Knowledge of facilities reporting systems, asset management, and KPI tracking
• Ability to identify recurring maintenance issues and implement long-term solutions
• General IT infrastructure or technology project experience
• Proven ability to balance operational uptime, quality, risk, and cost control
• Collaborative leadership style with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence across a multi-unit restaurant organization
