Production Manager – Metal Injection/HPDC Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong, hands-on experience with high pressure die casting (HPDC) and associated equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing production teams and daily operations.
- In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to oversee installation and commissioning of die-casting hardware.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
- Experience developing SOPs, production documentation, and managing quality systems (ISO 9001/IATF 16949).
Production Manager – Metal Injection/HPDC Preferred Background & Skills
- Hands-on experience with flow/thermal/solidification modeling tools (such as MAGMA or FLOW-3D).
- Expertise in die design, gating, venting, runner systems, and troubleshooting tooling issues.
- Experience with robot programming/integration for casting cells (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, or similar).
- Strong project management skills and new product introduction (NPI) experience.
Production Manager – Metal Injection/HPDC Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and monitor daily HPDC production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Supervise and mentor production staff, manage schedules, and foster skill development.
- Develop and document SOPs, control plans, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking, performance reviews, and team training.
- Oversee installation and integration of new die-casting machinery and automation systems.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Participate in new product launches, production readiness, and process optimization projects.
