Software Engineer Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate production-quality software for unmanned robotic platforms
- Develop robotic control and autonomy software using ROS2, Python, and C++
- Integrate software with sensors, actuators, embedded hardware, and vehicle systems
- Perform hands-on hardware and software integration, testing, and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain software within a Linux development environment using Git
- Support rapid prototyping, system validation, and field testing of robotic platforms
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions
- Continuously improve software architecture, system reliability, and development processes
Software Engineer Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Professional experience developing software for robotics, embedded systems, or autonomous platforms
- Strong programming experience with Python and C++
- Experience working with ROS2 (or similar robotics middleware)
- Hands-on experience integrating hardware, sensors, and embedded computing platforms
- Working knowledge of Linux development environments and Git version control
- Experience with CAN Bus communication in embedded or robotics applications
- Self-motivated engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment
- Must be eligible to work on ITAR-regulated programs (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or U.S. Person)
