Sales Consultant – Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE)
We are seeking an experienced, bilingual, and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our team in Boca Raton. This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) industry who enjoys building relationships, providing technical product expertise, and driving business growth.
As the first point of contact for customers, you will assist walk-in clients while actively developing new business through outbound prospecting, customer visits, and relationship management. The ideal candidate is results-driven, knowledgeable about outdoor power equipment, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers visiting the showroom.
- Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, customer follow-up, and relationship building.
- Conduct scheduled visits with current and prospective customers to strengthen relationships and expand the customer base.
- Assess customer needs and recommend outdoor power equipment, replacement parts, and accessories.
- Utilize consultative selling techniques, including cross-selling and upselling, to maximize sales opportunities.
- Prepare accurate quotes and process customer orders.
- Follow up on quotes and open orders to ensure successful sales and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of inventory, pricing, and product availability.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and merchandising inventory as needed.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized, efficient, and customer-focused store environment.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of retail sales experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) industry.
- Experience selling outdoor power equipment and technical replacement parts.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- Strong customer service, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend technical solutions.
- Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally to visit customers.
Preferred
- Technical education or coursework in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience working in a B2B sales environment.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Zoho or similar software.
