Commercial Litigation Associate – Midlevel

Commercial Litigation Associate Benefits & Compensation
- Competitive annual salary ($225,000–$330,000) based on experience

Commercial Litigation Associate Requirements & Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- 2–4 years of relevant litigation experience in a law firm, clerkship, or similar legal environment
- Admission to practice in Washington State or eligibility to waive in promptly
- Proven experience managing discovery, drafting motions, and appearing in court
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management abilities
- Commitment to client service and ability to collaborate effectively in a team
Commercial Litigation Associate Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts
- Familiarity with arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
- Comfort working with e-discovery platforms and vendors
- Ability to supervise and mentor more junior team members
Commercial Litigation Associate Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and support all stages of litigation, including investigation, research, pleadings, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
- Draft and argue substantive motions; assist with appellate briefing as needed
- Conduct and defend depositions; oversee document discovery and e-discovery processes
- Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy and business-focused advice
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel
- Mentor junior associates and paralegals as appropriate
