Commercial Escrow Officer Responsibilities:
- As the Commercial Escrow Officer, you will oversee the entire escrow process for complex commercial real estate transactions while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and transaction partners.
- Manage commercial escrow transactions from opening through closing.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, brokers, developers, investors, and underwriters.
- Prepare and review settlement statements, escrow instructions, closing packages, and related documentation.
- Facilitate funding, wire transfers, payoffs, and final disbursements.
- Resolve title and closing issues while partnering with underwriting and legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with Texas regulations, underwriting guidelines, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and proactively communicate transaction status to all parties.
- Successfully manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.
- Deliver an outstanding client experience throughout the closing process.
Commercial Escrow Officer Requirements:
- Texas Escrow Officer License (required or strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial escrow or commercial title experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate closings and title insurance
- Experience handling complex transactions involving:
- Office
- Industrial
- Multifamily
- Retail
- Hospitality
- Mixed-use developments
- Construction financing
- Multi-state transactions
- Experience preparing ALTA Settlement Statements and reviewing title commitments
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple high-value transactions in a deadline-driven environment
