General Manager – High‑Volume Hospitality Concept (Houston, TX)
Salary: $72,000–$75,000
Schedule: ~55 hours/week
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision; 2 weeks PTO after 1 year
Bonus: Annual performance‑based
A busy, seven‑day‑a‑week hospitality concept in the Heights area is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations, elevate guest experience, and drive financial results. This role requires a hands‑on operator with strong bar knowledge, bilingual communication skills, and proven leadership in high‑volume environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and retain management and hourly teams
- Maintain strong floor presence and deliver exceptional guest service
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance reviews
- Manage bar programs, beverage inventory, and cost controls
- Ensure food, beverage, and sanitation standards are consistently met
- Execute training programs and staff development
- Manage P&L, labor, COGS, and operational KPIs
- Support marketing initiatives and community engagement
- Maintain accurate financial records and cash‑handling procedures
Required Experience & Skills
- Outgoing, hospitality‑driven leadership style
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- 3–5 years supervisory experience in restaurants/bars
- 3–5 years bartending/serving experience
- Working knowledge of bar programs and beverage costing
- Strong understanding of P&L, labor management, and forecasting
- FOH/BOH operational knowledge
- Proficiency with Mac, Windows, Excel, and POS systems
- Ability to stand long hours and lift 30 lbs
- Availability for a 55+ hour work week
