We are seeking a Restaurant General Manager for a high-volume restaurant within a world-class luxury resort in the Hot Springs, Virginia area. Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead daily restaurant operations while ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak periods, engaging with guests and supporting the team
- Coach, train, and develop associates to consistently elevate service and operational standards
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, forecasting, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, waste, liquor controls, and overall restaurant standards
- Monitor reservations, private parties and layering business.
- Collaborate the culinary team and other departments to drive success.
- Able to be creative and have input with cocktails, wine list and beverage selection.
Restaurant General Manager Qualifications:
- 4+ years of restaurant leadership experience; General Manager experience highly preferred
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment preferable in a hotel or resort environment.
- Sports bar or high-volume casual/upscale casual restaurant experience required
- Strong understanding of food and beverage financials, including cost, inventory, and par controls
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail programs
Restaurant General Manager Preferred Skills:
- Luxury hotel, resort, or upscale hospitality experience
- Collaborative, positive, and hands-on leadership style
- Strong guest service, communication, and team-development skills
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to relocate to and live in the Hot Springs, Virginia area
