Bar Lead – Upscale Steakhouse
Lead an Award-Worthy Bar Program While Delivering Exceptional Guest Experiences
Are you an experienced bartender ready to take the next step into leadership? We're looking for a hospitality-driven Bar Lead to oversee one of the busiest and most successful bar programs in an upscale, high-volume steakhouse.

What You'll Do
- Lead daily bar operations while setting the standard for hospitality and guest service.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop bartenders and bar support staff.
- Create employee schedules using 7Shifts scheduling software.
- Manage beverage ordering, inventory, cost controls, and vendor relationships.
- Develop seasonal cocktails and support beverage programming.
- Assist guests with wine recommendations, whiskey selections, and food pairings.
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws, sanitation standards, and company policies.
- Process bartender tip-outs and maintain inventory accuracy using Lightspeed and Upserve POS systems.
- Collaborate with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and Food & Beverage leadership team.
- Build a positive culture while mentoring team members and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Schedule
- Approximately 75% of the role is spent bartending during peak service.
- Approximately 25% of the role is dedicated to leadership responsibilities including scheduling, inventory, ordering, and administrative duties.
- Typical bartending shifts are Thursday through Saturday.
- Administrative office hours are generally Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM.
- Flexibility is important, and high-performing leaders may enjoy a four-day workweek.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of bar management or lead bartender experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant or steakhouse.
- Extensive knowledge of wine, bourbon, whiskey, premium spirits, and craft cocktails.
- Strong mixology skills and a passion for beverage innovation.
- Experience with beverage ordering, inventory management, and cost controls.
- Leadership experience with scheduling, coaching, and developing teams.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Lightspeed, Upserve, or similar POS systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with 7Shifts scheduling software is a plus.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout service.
