Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in engineered-to-order (ETO), industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy equipment
- 2+ years leading Project Managers or cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, ERP/MRP systems, and supply chain coordination
- Experience managing multiple concurrent custom manufacturing projects
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel approximately 15–20%
Must Haves
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers while balancing project assignments and workloads
- Coordinate daily production priorities with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Shipping
- Own the master manufacturing schedule and proactively adjust priorities based on labor, capacity, and material availability
- Drive engineering releases, BOM accuracy, production readiness, and change order execution
- Monitor long-lead materials, supplier issues, and project risks before they impact delivery
- Develop recovery plans for delayed projects while protecting customer commitments and profitability
- Track KPIs including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, labor performance, and rework trends
- Build standardized project management processes across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Serve as the primary escalation point for project execution issues
Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with fabricated steel products, industrial equipment, generator enclosures, skids, or acoustic equipment
- PMP certification
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities
- Familiarity with customer submittals and engineered project documentation
- Strong ERP/MRP reporting and scheduling expertise
- Experience working directly with executive leadership
