Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong AutoCAD experience (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)
- Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes
- Experience designing electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Ability to perform panel loading calculations, wire/conduit sizing, and BOM creation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screen
Must Haves
- Design electrical systems for custom industrial enclosures, power generation equipment, and packaged systems.
- Review customer specifications and develop electrical designs that meet project requirements.
- Create schematics, electrical drawings, Bills of Materials, and panel layouts.
- Perform load calculations, panel balancing, conduit and cable sizing.
- Provide technical direction to designers and drafters throughout the design process.
- Partner with manufacturing and production teams to resolve technical issues and support project execution.
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, and applicable customer specifications.
Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with generators, switchgear, UPS systems, or emergency power equipment
- Manufacturing experience with industrial equipment, structural steel, skids, or packaged systems
- Autodesk Inventor, Revit MEP, or other 3D CAD software
- Accubid or similar estimating software
- Experience working with Caterpillar, Cummins, MTU, Schneider, or similar equipment manufacturers
