Sales Manager – AI Startup (Insurance Technology)
Base Salary: $110,000–$120,000 + Performance Bonus/Commission + 3 Equity Points

As we continue to scale, we're looking for an entrepreneurial Sales Manager who is excited about building something meaningful, leading a high-performing team, and helping shape the future of AI in insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of five independent (1099) Sales Associates.
- Maintain an active personal book of business and consistently achieve individual sales targets.
- Lead by example through prospecting, conducting demonstrations, negotiating agreements, and closing new business.
- Recruit, onboard, and train new Sales Associates while building a high-performance sales culture.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions, pipeline reviews, and performance meetings.
- Assist team members with complex sales opportunities and strategic account development.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that drive both individual and team revenue growth.
- Monitor KPIs, forecasting, conversion metrics, and overall pipeline health.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to improve messaging, product positioning, and customer experience.
- Provide executive leadership with market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights.
- Continuously improve sales processes, onboarding, and best practices as the company scales.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably selling SaaS, AI, InsurTech, HR Tech, or other technology solutions.
- 2+ years of sales leadership experience with a proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing sales professionals.
- Demonstrated success as both an individual contributor and sales leader in a player/coach environment.
- Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, CRM systems, and consultative sales cycles.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup where leaders are expected to both execute and build.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
