Cafe General Manager – Columbus, OH

General Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 2+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, food service, or premium retail
- Proven ability to coach and develop hourly employees
- Strong organizational and operational management skills
- Excellent communication, empathy, and people-leading qualities
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and peak shifts
General Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in craft, boutique, or higher-end food environments
- Comfort working in structured environments with clear processes
- Experience navigating team dynamics or periods of organizational change
General Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead daily shop operations with a combination of administrative focus and active frontline presence
- Recruit, train, and develop a diverse team, ensuring high standards of guest service
- Oversee scheduling, inventory, ordering, and basic accounting
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful store culture
- Address employee relations and team dynamics with empathy and consistency
- Ensure the shop meets cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence benchmarks
- Represent the brand and model hospitality, professionalism, and joy
