Commercial Lines Account Manager Benefits & Compensation

Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- 3+ years of Commercial Lines experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Property & Casualty Insurance License required
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment
Commercial Lines Account Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Service and manage an assigned book of commercial accounts, addressing all policy, coverage, and risk management needs
- Drive retention and organic growth by rounding accounts, upgrading coverage, and maintaining agency standards
- Manage complete renewal processes: marketing, quoting, carrier negotiation, and strategy implementation
- Accurately process endorsements, policy changes, certificates, audits, and service requests
- Place and bind coverage with carriers according to agency and underwriting guidelines
- Collaborate with producers on new business submissions, marketing, proposals, and coverage analysis
- Review policies for accuracy and communicate changes and updates to clients post-billing
- Document account activity, monitor accounts at risk, and proactively address retention
- Stay compliant with insurance regulations and internal protocols
- Participate in weekly team meetings, sharing progress on pipelines, renewals, and carrier relationships
