Chef de Cuisine | Future Executive Chef Opportunity | Savannah, GA
Salary: $75,000–$80,000
Are you an experienced culinary leader ready for the next step in your career? We're partnering with an established Savannah restaurant seeking a Chef de Cuisine who is passionate about culinary excellence, team development, and leading successful kitchen operations.
This is a unique opportunity for a Chef de Cuisine who is looking for long-term career growth. The selected candidate will have a clear path to transition into the Executive Chef role within approximately 12 months as the current Executive Chef moves into a new internal opportunity.
The ideal candidate will be a strong culinary leader who can take ownership of daily kitchen operations, develop a talented culinary team, and continue building on the success of an established Savannah restaurant.
What You'll Do
- Lead the daily operations of the kitchen while maintaining high standards for food quality and consistency.
- Partner with the Executive Chef during the transition period to learn operations and prepare for future leadership.
- Coach, mentor, and develop culinary team members at all levels.
- Oversee kitchen organization, preparation, and service execution.
- Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste control.
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
- Build a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef experience.
- Experience leading culinary teams in upscale casual or fine dining restaurants.
- Proven success managing high-volume kitchen operations.
- Strong knowledge of food cost, labor management, purchasing, and inventory controls.
- Passion for developing culinary talent and preparing for increased leadership responsibility.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Stable work history with demonstrated career progression.
Compensation & Benefits
- $75,000–$80,000 base salary
- 10 days PTO after 90 days
- 5 sick Days
