Assistant Director – Western Twin Cities (Wayzata Area), MN

- Base salary of $55,000–$65,000

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field)
- Progressive leadership experience within licensed early childhood education
- Experience supervising teachers and staff in programs of similar size
- Strong background in day-to-day operations of licensed early childhood settings
- Demonstrated ability in parent communication and conflict resolution
- Curriculum leadership and oversight skills
Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with NAEYC accreditation strongly preferred
- Operational leadership in programs serving 150–200 children
- Experience improving systems and processes within early childhood programs
- Familiarity with childcare management software (e.g., ProCare)
- Financial administration and licensing compliance experience
- Calm, steady, and approachable leadership style
- High degree of emotional intelligence and relationship-building skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director to lead all school operations and create consistency across classrooms
- Support and supervise teaching staff, providing coaching and development
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and address concerns as they arise
- Enhance operational processes and communication within the school community
- Oversee curriculum quality, child safety, and licensing compliance
- Make independent decisions as needed, ensuring smooth daily operations
