Construction Quality Control Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum ten years of experience in commercial construction or related fields in roles such as superintendent, quality control manager, project manager, or project engineer
- At least two years of experience specifically in a construction quality control manager role
- Current USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification required
- EM 385-1-1 Level 1, OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications (company-sponsored training may be available)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Able to pass strict Department of Defense background checks, drug screening, and verification of U.S. work authorization
Construction Quality Control Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with RMS/QCS reporting systems (training provided if needed)
- Previous background supporting runway or airfield construction projects
- Specialty inspection certifications or relevant training/licensure
- LEED Accredited Professional or LEED Green Associate credentials
- Experience with project management and construction software such as Viewpoint/Vista
Construction Quality Control Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Administer project-specific quality control programs in line with contract requirements and USACE standards
- Coordinate and perform onsite inspections and testing activities
- Maintain all quality-related documentation and submit RMS/QCS reports
- Collaborate closely with project leadership, field teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Support operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to specified quality standards
- Foster a proactive and positive project culture emphasizing high standards and effective communication
