Senior Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing accounting experience preferred
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, or plant accounting is a plus
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Sage Intacct, or similar

Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger review
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide meaningful variance analysis
- Coordinate and oversee monthly physical inventory counts
- Maintain inventory accounting records and assist with inventory valuation
- Support cost accounting activities, including inventory standards and manufacturing cost analysis
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Partner with plant leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
- Support year-end audits and assist with audit schedules and documentation
- Prepare KPI reporting and financial dashboards for leadership
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and special accounting projects
