An innovative, high-growth technology company is seeking a hands-on Cyber Security Lead to build, strengthen, and continuously evolve its cybersecurity program. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for protecting cloud infrastructure, applications, systems, and sensitive customer data while partnering closely with engineering and executive leadership. The ideal candidate is both strategic and technical, capable of designing security initiatives while remaining actively involved in implementation, incident response, and day-to-day security operations.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization's cybersecurity strategy, roadmap, and risk management initiatives.
- Lead cloud security efforts by securing AWS infrastructure, production environments, and DevOps practices.
- Design and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), including SSO, MFA, privileged access management, and role-based access controls.
- Partner with engineering teams to implement secure software development practices, application security testing, and CI/CD security controls.
- Build and maintain incident response plans, investigate security events, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, remediation efforts, and continuous security monitoring.
- Evaluate third-party vendors, SaaS platforms, and technology partners to ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
- Support security governance, regulatory compliance, audits, and documentation aligned with industry best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, application security, or security engineering.
- Strong experience securing AWS cloud environments and production infrastructure.
- Expertise with Identity and Access Management (IAM), SSO, MFA, privileged access management, and least-privilege security models.
- Experience implementing application security best practices, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong understanding of network security, API security, encryption, secrets management, and cloud-native security controls.
- Experience supporting security audits and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, or NIST.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
