Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and own the organization's identity verification platform from architecture through deployment and continuous improvement.
- Build scalable identity verification solutions that improve approval rates while reducing fraud and operational costs.
- Develop in-house authentication, identity verification, OCR, behavioral intelligence, and device fingerprinting capabilities.
- Integrate government databases, identity verification providers, and third-party data sources to enhance verification accuracy.
- Design secure backend services, APIs, and frontend user experiences that support seamless customer onboarding.
- Implement AI-aware fraud detection strategies that address emerging identity and synthetic fraud threats.
- Continuously monitor system performance, optimize verification workflows, and improve automation through data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and fraud teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory and business requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience building identity verification, authentication, fraud prevention, or KYC solutions.
- Strong software engineering experience with modern backend development, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-based applications.
- Experience integrating identity verification technologies such as OCR, biometric authentication, document verification, or behavioral analytics.
- Strong understanding of KYC, AML, customer onboarding, fraud detection, and identity verification requirements within regulated industries.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, modern development frameworks, databases, and scalable architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a first-principles approach to system design.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and compliance teams.
