Mid-Level Litigation Associate Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–6 years of litigation experience in commercial, civil, business, or high-stakes matters.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Experience supporting sophisticated litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and operate independently.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to New Hampshire or Northern New England and able to work from the Bedford, NH office several days per week.
Mid-Level Litigation Associate Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience at a large law firm or in complex commercial litigation.
- Judicial clerkship experience strongly preferred.
- Background in white collar, appellate, or high-risk litigation considered a plus.
- Experience working with high-profile, celebrity, or ultra-high-net-worth clients is a bonus.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, strong attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset.
Mid-Level Litigation Associate Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and support discovery, document review, subpoenas, and deposition preparation for complex litigation matters.
- Draft research memoranda, motions, correspondence, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
- Analyze complex legal and factual issues and provide thoughtful recommendations.
- Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, execution, and trial preparation.
- Help prepare matters for hearings, arbitrations, mediations, settlement discussions, and trial.
- Stay organized across multiple sensitive, high-profile cases and ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and responsiveness in all client interactions.
