Chief Financial Officer Requirements & Qualifications
- CPA REQUIRED
- 7 to 10 years of experience in the legal industry
- Proficiency in Aderant (Iridium) and/or Elite Software
- STRONG Excel Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent professional references
- Must be comfortable working on-site 5 days a week
Chief Financial Officer Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead development and evaluation of short- and long-term strategic financial objectives
- Oversee all finance, accounting, billing, collections, and payroll functions
- Provide timely, accurate financial analysis, trends, and forecasts for leadership
- Manage daily cash flow and the firm’s banking relationships
- Advise executive leadership on business activities and their financial implications
- Oversee annual budgeting, financial controls, and reporting processes
- Evaluate equity and debt structures for growth and capital deployment
- Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with financial covenants
- Present financial reports to the Managing Partner and Executive Committee
