Pastry Sous Chef Benefits:

Pastry Chef Requirements:
- Culinary degree from an accredited culinary institute
- 4+ years’ experience in culinary management in an all- scratch kitchen managing a team
- Extensive knowledge and skill in a variety of baking and pastry techniques and production
- Experience in a private club, fine dining, luxury hotel, or high-volume banquet environment preferred
- Keen attention to detail
- Good tenure
Pastry Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Train, mentor, and coach the pastry team to be the best
- Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Knowledge of classical and modern pastry techniques, baking, plated desserts, and chocolate work
- Create pastries, and develop recipes for seasonal menus, à la carte dining, banquets, and special events
- Proficient in inventory, ordering, scheduling, and the ability to analyze food and labor cost
- Meet with members to discuss details and plan desserts and pastries for special occasions
- Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and cleanliness
