Commercial Plumber Foreman Requirements:
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license
- 6+ years of commercial plumbing and mechanical experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or foreman experience
- OSHA 10 is required
- OSHA 30 is preferred
- Backflow certification is preferred
- Medical gas certification is preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background screening and drug testing, if required
- Experience with commercial boiler systems, pumps, and hydronic systems
- Experience using digital work order or field service management software
- Proficient with mobile technology, service software, and basic computer applications
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and mechanical systems, building codes, and safety regulations
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational and customer relations
- Able to work in cold and hot environments
- Able to work autonomously (self-disciplined)
- Able to work well with others (teamwork)
- Excellent communication etiquette
Commercial Plumber Foreman Primary Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Lead and supervise commercial plumbing technicians
- Perform advanced plumbing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with standards, codes, and customer expectations
- Serve as the primary field leader, coordinating manpower, materials, and communication between customers, office staff, and field personnel
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily service and installation activities and project schedules
- Diagnose, repair and install commercial plumbing systems, including water, waste, vent, gas, and specialty piping systems
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures, piping, pumps, water heaters, backflow preventers, and related equipment
- Diagnose, repair and install commercial mechanical systems, including heating hot water, chilled water, steam, and specialty piping systems
- Coordinate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure successful project completion
- Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment needed for service work
- Complete service reports, daily logs, timecards, and documentation accurately and on time
