We are a fast-growing, multi-unit restaurant group looking for a Director of Accounting (Controller) to lead our Accounting/Finance team. The role reports directly to the CFO and will have a significant impact on the brand's future. You’ll help build a team to manage our GL and partner across the finance team and greater organization to improve our accounting operations consistently.
Director of Accounting Compensation and Benefits

Director of Accounting Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Active CPA license required
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Proven experience leading a full month-end close process
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
Director of Accounting Preferred Background and Skills
- Experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or other multi-unit high-growth environments
- Background in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or Accounting Director role
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Familiarity with restaurant technology platforms such as Restaurant365
- Experience mentoring and developing accounting teams
- Strong process improvement mindset and ability to build scalable accounting operations
Job Responsibilities
- Report directly to the CFO and serve as a key accounting leader
- Own day-to-day accounting operations and the general ledger
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
- Design, implement, and maintain internal controls and SOX-ready processes
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members
- Partner with Operations, HR, and other departments to provide financial guidance and insights
- Support budgeting, variance analysis, and profitability improvement efforts
- Help evolve accounting systems and processes to support continued growth and expansion
