Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead all front-of-house floor operations during service, ensuring flawless execution and an elevated guest experience
- Maintain and enforce fine dining service standards, hospitality excellence, and brand consistency
- Supervise, coach, and develop managers, captains, servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff
- Partner with the General Manager to achieve financial goals including labor management, sales growth, and profitability
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Assist with inventory controls, purchasing, and operational systems as needed
- Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee retention initiatives
Assistant General Manager Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive restaurant management experience in upscale or fine dining environments
- Minimum 2 years in a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or equivalent senior leadership role
- Proven ability to lead high-performing hospitality teams
- Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine service, and guest relations
- Experience managing labor costs, scheduling, and operational budgets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
