A global brand management organization is seeking an experienced In-House Trademark Attorney to lead and manage all aspects of its international trademark portfolio. This role supports a large portfolio of fashion, lifestyle, and consumer brands and requires a strategic thinker with deep trademark expertise and strong commercial judgment.
The attorney will oversee the full lifecycle of trademark protection across multiple jurisdictions, partnering closely with internal teams and international counsel to protect and grow a dynamic portfolio of global brands.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $175,000 – $200,000, commensurate with experience

Requirements and Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 7–10+ years of trademark-focused legal experience, including significant law firm and/or in-house experience
- Demonstrated experience managing complex domestic and international trademark portfolios
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trademark law, filings, prosecution, renewals, and enforcement
- Experience working with foreign trademark counsel and managing global filing strategies
- Ability to provide clear, practical legal guidance to business stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage large portfolios and multiple deadlines
Preferred Background and Skills
- Prior experience supporting fashion, luxury, consumer goods, or brand-driven businesses
- Experience managing large trademark portfolios (thousands of marks across multiple brands)
- Familiarity with licensing, co-branding, collaborations, and brand acquisitions
- Experience handling domain name disputes, cybersquatting matters, and online brand protection
- Experience with trademark management software, docketing systems, and IP databases
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of a large, global trademark portfolio, including clearance, filing, prosecution, maintenance, renewals, assignments, and recordals across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct trademark searches, risk assessments, and strategic guidance for new brands, product launches, collaborations, and licensing initiatives.
- Lead trademark enforcement and brand protection efforts, including oppositions, cancellations, cease-and-desist actions, infringement matters, and domain disputes.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across marketing, product, licensing, and design to ensure compliant brand usage and support brand expansion initiatives.
- Manage relationships with international counsel, IP vendors, and external law firms (if necessary), while overseeing global filing strategies, enforcement matters, and trademark budgets.
