Assistant General Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily operations in a high volume, scratch kitchen concept with a strong bar business, elevated burgers, craft beer, craft cocktails, and live music.

Assistant General Manager Requirements and Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 plus years of restaurant management experience in a full service restaurant
- Current or recent experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, Service Manager, Kitchen Manager, Bar Manager, Front of House Manager, or Back of House Manager
- Experience leading high volume shifts in a fast paced restaurant environment
- Strong understanding of front of house and back of house operations
- Scratch kitchen experience preferred
- Bar experience preferred, including craft beer, cocktails, beverage execution, and pour cost awareness
- Experience managing labor, food cost, beverage cost, inventory, and daily shift performance
- Experience hiring, training, coaching, and developing hourly team members
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and event driven schedules
- ServSafe and alcohol certification preferred
Assistant General Manager Preferred Qualifications:
- Full service casual dining background
- Upscale casual or polished casual experience
- Experience in a high energy restaurant with strong bar sales
- Experience in a concept with live music, events, or high weekend volume
- Strong floor presence and guest recovery skills
- Stable work history with solid tenure in restaurant management roles
- New Restaurant Opening Experience
Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations
- Lead front of house and back of house teams during lunch, dinner, weekends, and peak service periods
- Maintain food quality, service standards, cleanliness, safety, and hospitality standards
- Help manage labor, food cost, beverage cost, and inventory controls
- Support bar operations, recipe adherence, beverage consistency, and pour cost control
- Hire, train, coach, and develop team members
- Lead pre shift meetings and communicate daily service and operational goals
- Support scheduling and labor planning based on business levels
- Assist with live music nights, special events, and other high volume periods
- Address guest concerns professionally and help create a strong repeat guest experience
- Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling, food safety, and alcohol compliance
